Merging a Subcategory

Go to CAS --> Management --> Inventory -> Modify Inventory

The system has the ability to merge attributes and classifications. This is useful once the domain has been in use for a while and interchangeable ones have been created. An example being color - over time multiple variation on "Green" are created "Lime", "Dark Green", "Avocado" and the user wants to consolidate all as "Green" as there isn't a business reason to identify them separately.

In order to merge Sub Categories with the another, access CAS --> Management --> Inventory -> Modify Inventory and select Sub-Category and then select the Sub-Category that you want the other to merge into (meaning the other sub category become the one you select) and the following screen will be displayed.

Select merge Subcategory and then select the Subcategory you want to merge.
