# POS Unit Status

### **Overview**

Go to **CAS** --> **Reports** --> **Status** --> **POS Unit Status**

This report provides information about POS Units and what register they are assigned to.&#x20;

A POS unit is the hardware that a register is installed onto such as a Mobile Device for MPOS.

User selects between non-allocated, allocated, defective, condemned or all for the POS status. The user then clicks generate or download CSV file. The generated report provides the POS ID, POS name, the register ID, and the register name.

**Status:**

**Allocated** - Registers allocated to that merchant and assigned Register ID

**Non Allocated** - Registers not allocated yet and is present in the Create register page dropdown

**Condemned** - When the register is allocated to a merchant is de-allocated at a CAS admin level, its condemned

**Defective** - When a register is replaced, the register that is replaced will appear in defective.

Access to this function at an enterprise level is limited by default to the System Administrator and Financial users only. Store managers, warehouse general managers as well as zone managers may view POS Unit Status report at Venues or Store assigned to them.<br>
