Release Notes CAS 3.6.2

Pricebook Modifications

The Pricebook feature has become more robust to offer the merchant more group pricing options. Special pricing through the pricebook can be applied using customer categories (allowing for your unique customer groups to have access to pricing or discounts which applies only to them) or apply the pricebook by classification or attribute such as category to discount a specific type of merchandise. Using these tools, a merchant can promote their inventory to best cater to their customer base or marketing strategies.

The use of pricebooks to offer discounts to specifically targeted customer groups is further enhanced by using it in conjunction with the CRM Builder. This features helps build your customer tracking data and allows for the incentives to reach the customers you want to be targeted.

Ajax Auto-Fill for Item Search

In search fields for items, such as: master item, receiving search, and item look-up, Ajax coding has been added to auto fill the field. Merchants searching for commonly used items can benefit from streamlined searches.

Coupon Report

The coupon report has been modified to display the total # sold and sales volume of items that were sold using a coupon. This will help merchants compare items sold using a coupon against all items sold for the date range. A merchant running a weekend sale can compare items sold with a weekend coupon vs. how well the item did on its own during the week.

Listing Reports - Hierarchy

The hierarchy listing report has been modified to include additional information for store and employee. Merchants now have access to additional information on each report. This has also been included on the PDF and downloaded version of the listing.

  • Modifications to the employee listing report include whether the id is active or inactive; company code and most importantly, when their password will expire.

  • Modifications to the store listing report include adding which venue the store is in, which manager is assigned, if there is a price book assigned, and if a tax override is in place.

Listing Reports - Inventory

The inventory listing report for vendor has been modified to include the email address for the vendor. This is useful when the merchant has a notification to send to all vendors (such as changes to store hours or address changes) and they can obtain all vendor emails in one accessible location.

Listing Reports - Transaction

The transaction listing reports now include a report for pricebooks which shows all pricebooks which have been created, indicating if active or inactive. This can be used as a quick reference for users planning marketing campaigns.

New Attributes

Two new attributes have been added to the master item - Brand and Season. This further refines the attributes to allow for the user to offer segmented discounts or use reporting filters to refine your targeted inquiries. Currently these attributes can be included on barcode labels and in future releases they will be added to reports and pricebook.

Logical names on item import

When a user creates the item import csv file, the classification, category, and vendor fields can now be entered using the logical name instead of the ID code. This will allow the user to easily see the hierarchy for the item and help ensure that the item is classified in the most advantageous way. Please note that the logical name should be entered exactly as it is, including capitalization, differences will create a new category.

Zivo Gateway settings

When a user enters the password when entering their Zivo payment gateway set up information, this number can include special characters.

Merging Classification and Attributes

A feature has been added to allow for the merging of classifications and attributes. This will allow for merchants that have multiple related entries to combine them into one and streamline their database while retaining the item data for each. The previous classification or attribute will be inactive and not appear on reports or drop downs.

POS Allocation

System Administrators now have the ability to create POS id's and allocate the POS based on the number of licenses for the domain. This allows for the multiple event venues to have the flexibility to perform these tasks themselves.
